The BMW M5 Competition is a great looking car, but our customer who had owned it for the past year wanted to change the finish without going down the traditional 'wrapping' route. We offered our solution which is XPEL Stealth, a pre cut PPF that keeps the original colour of your car but with a satin top coat.
This project took us 5 days, before we delivered it back to the customer who travelled 300 miles from Plymouth to Southend for this service.
When converting a car from gloss to stealth, you have to modify the PPF patterns to ensure they cover 100% of the panel. You wouldn't want to see any of that gloss paintwork shining through, so we extend the wraps, remove parts such as badges to give a flush finish and also roof rails to allow us to wrap the film into here.
The end result was fantastic and the customer was over the moon.
